Established in 2002, the Fordney Foundation is a nonprofit foundation for dance sport that provides young people with sport grants that allow them to train and compete in dancesport competition. The program benefits children by encouraging them to develop good eating habits, exercise, and appreciate music, and improves coordination, strength and flexibility. It also enhances social development, teaching them teamwork and cooperation as they become equal partners in performance.

The Fordney Foundation Junior and Youth Dancesport Series is a competition circuit that runs alongside the World Pro-Am Danceport Series, allowing young dancers to accumulate points for ranking beginning and ending with the Ohio Star Ball each November.
